Citizenship Fashion Show

College students in the Citizenship group worked with members of staff to organise and deliver a fashion show last Friday!
As part of their Citizenship work, students chose to raise money to support the NSPCC by organising a fashion show. Local businesses Utopia and SOS Bramhall kindly donated their time and the use of their stock, and the audience were also treated to several sweet treats and a prize draw!
Students worked as models, putting together outfits and choosing accessories to show the crowd, and working on the door to take money, check tickets and sell raffle tickets. Of course more models were needed - happily, we had a few members of staff willing to step up to the plate!
After some initial shyness (from students and staff alike...) the evening was a great success, with huge cheers for all the models and a great reaction from the audience.
After the show, several accessories and clothes were available for sale with 10% of the proceeds going to charity. Including ticket sales and the raffle, the evening raised almost £300, which will be split evenly between Seashell Trust and the NSPCC.
Tricia Ramjutan, the tutor who organised the event, said that the students were fab and really enjoyed themselves. She added her thanks to all the members of staff who were very supportive, both in helping her organise everything and in coming along to enjoy the show.
Congratulations once again to everyone involved!
