Shellshock rocks on at Party In The Park

Shellshock, Royal College Manchester's rock band, played Party In The Park for the second time on Wednesday, 17th June. Party In The Park brings together bands and performing arts groups from specialist colleges across the north of England and was held in King's Gardens, Southport.

Shellshock's rockstars included Charlotte, Elliott, Hannah, Nick, Daniel and Andrew. In true rock n roll fashion the band crammed into the minibus turned tour bus with band equipment, food, and plenty of waterproofs. The weather clearly knew we were playing a big open air festival in a park because it rained. And rained. And rained.

We arrived around 11 o clock, looked around a few stalls, watched other bands, enjoyed some fantastic festival food, and then readied ourselves to blow the minds of a very drenched audience.

We played an eclectic mix of Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, White Stripes, Lenny Kravitz, and some chunky sounding blues rock. We were loud, raw, and obviously showed all the other bands how it was done. A great, wet day was had by all.

With thanks to guest blogger & Shellshock member Tom for writing about the band's performance for us. Great job, guys!
