Nigel joined the Royal College Manchester Governing Body in June 2017 having left AstraZeneca in 2013 after a long career in Global Marketing and Business Development. Since then, Nigel has kept busy with a portfolio of roles including time at Manchester University fundraising for medical research, Business Consultancy and volunteering at Seashell Trust. At SST he has helped with Friday athletics for nearly 4 years and ,more recently, works on projects in the Fundraising team.

Nigel is married to Liz who is a GP with 3 sons Thomas, Edward and Oliver. Edward and Oliver have both volunteered at SST in the past.

Nigel’s interests include sports especially rugby where he has coached Junior levels and still plays touch. Also he tries to keep fit and enjoys cricket, dog walks and more recently road cycling with some travel thrown in.
