If you care for a child or young person with autism and severe learning difficulties, you are eligible for a comprehensive range of support from Seashell Trust.

This is one of several sessions aimed at helping families deal with everyday issues like mealtimes, communication, behaviour and looking for ways to help your child become more independent.

At Seashell Trust, our vision is of a world in which children and young people with learning disabilities can live safe, happy and creative lives and are respected as valuable members of the community. We're seeing more and more people aware of what our students can achieve, whether that's progression into work, helping other people through voluntary work or mastering new skills to make more decisions about their lives.

In this session, Katherine Corey (Head of Royal College Manchester) will celebrate the positive contribution autistic people with learning disabilities make to the community. She will discuss some of the achievements from our past and current students and the support available to help young people achieve their different goals, as well as how to talk about the importance of maintaining high expectations when it comes to planning for your son or daughter's future.

The speaker may be recorded to share with families who are unable to attend. If you do not wish to be filmed, please sit behind the camera.
