DMLab North West Challenge Showcase

Royal College Manchester is taking part in the DMLab North West Challenge, bringing together disabled musicians and technologists to create innovative and accessible musical instruments.
Our team will be working on creating a saxophone that can be played using switches and compressed air! Other projects include a portable and bespoke controllers for sound art and live mixing, an air keyboard and an electric wheelchair one man band powered by self-sustaining eco-power sources
Each team has just four weeks to turn their initial ideas into working prototypes. The programme starts of with the DMLab North West Challenge Launch Event on 29th April where 4 teams will present their initial ideas, why and what they hope to achieve, and the DMLab North West Challenge Showcase Event on 27th May will see the teams present and perform using their new instruments!
Join us for the final celebration & unveiling of the finished designs at the DMLab NW Challenge Final Showcase Event:
Saturday 27th May - 2.00-3.30pm
