A Cheadle Hulme hair and beauty salon celebrated its fifth birthday by raising money for Seashell Trust.

Vibe Hair and Beauty Salon hosted a ladies evening with prosecco, canapés, shopping and beauty treatments and collected £663.

The staff popped over to visit the trust’s national centre of excellence also in Cheadle Hulme with their donation and met some of the students the money will help.

The trust runs the Royal School and College Manchester as well as care homes for children and young people with some of the most complex and profound disabilities in the country.

Donations such as these give them vital life experiences and activities to help them reach their full potential.

Wendy Richards, from Vibe, said: “We chose the Seashell Trust because of the outstanding work all the staff, carers and volunteers do every day of the year.

“We were delighted to visit the children and young people and seeing the purpose-built houses some of the children live in enabling them the opportunity of some independence was very impressive and humbling.

“We look forward to raising more funds for them in the future.”

Wendy Bray, fundraiser at Seashell Trust, said: “We are so grateful to Wendy and the whole team at Vibe for including us in their birthday celebrations. The money raised will really benefit the children and young people here living with complex disabilities. We always feel so privileged when a successful local business chooses us as their partner.”
