Ged joined the Royal School Manchester Governing Body in February 2021.

Ged’s background is in Children’s Services, having worked with a number of local authorities in the Greater Manchester area since 1997.

Ged has had a range of roles including frontline social worker, Independent Reviewing Officer and Head of Safeguarding and Improvement.  He  was one of the first Local Authority Designated Officers in the area and worked with a range of agencies to develop safer recruitment.

Ged has been married to Claire for 36 years and has 3 grown up sons, and also currently has 2 rescue dogs.
