Volunteers give and gain in Seashell gardens

Volunteers from law firm Addleshaw Goddard and PZ Cussons visited Seashell Trust for Give and Gain Day.

Wendy Bray, from Seashell Trust, said: “They did a brilliant job of getting our gardens shipshape for summer so that the children will have somewhere really lovely to spend that beautiful weekend of weather!”

Give And Gain Day is an international celebration of volunteering. Firms pledge their staff to work for the benefit of community organisations for one day.

Phil McDonnell, competition partner at Addleshaw Goddard, said: “Supporting education in the community is a key focus for Addleshaw Goddard and we were delighted to spend the day at the Seashell Trust, with colleagues from PZ Cussons, tidying the gardens for the pupils, families and carers to enjoy this summer.

“It was not only great to spend time out of the office with a team of 17 volunteers but it was inspiring to spend time with the young people and carers who make the Seashell Trust such a exceptional learning environment. It is undoubtedly a valuable resource for the North West and wider community.”
