Whitfield and Brown building even closer relationship with Seashell Trust

Whitfield and Brown team on route to raising money for Seashell Trust

A contractor is proving equally good at building houses and relationships.

Whitfield and Brown is managing the build of 17 state-of-the-art homes for Seashell Trust's students the first nine of which are due for completion later this year.

At their annual team building event, 14 Whitfield and Brown staff hiked 15 miles in the Lake District to show their support for the profoundly disabled students at Seashell Trust.

Zoe Brooke, from Whitfield and Brown which is based in Widnes, Cheshire, said: “This year’s challenge was to climb Cat Bells, Maiden Moor, High Spy and Dale Head in Keswick. We returned tired and weary a good seven hours later. This is an annual team building event that encourages collaborative relationships in the organisation.”

Zoe added: “As we are working with the Seashell Trust, it was decided we would request our staff to make a small donation of £5-10 to the charity in return for the accommodation over the two nights. We are privileged to be working with Seashell Trust and I hope we can support it in our future events.”

Dominic Tinner, from Seashell Trust, said: “We are very grateful to Whitfield and Brown for going the extra mile for Seashell. Their staff have been extremely supportive and the site manager has taken great delight in showing our key donors round the houses as they are being built.
