Huge congratulations are in order to Seashell’s Sports team for the significant increase in numbers for their CADS Football sessions.

Seashell’s Sports team, in partnership with Cheadle & Gatley Junior Football Club and Elite Football Coaching, relaunched CADS Football sessions on 2 October 2020, following the end of the national UK lockdown, and were met with an overwhelming response.

Sessions are now up and running every Friday evening on Seashell’s 3G pitch, with participation having increased, on average, from 15 children each week to 32.

The Sports team, along with coaches from Cheadle & Gatley JFC and Elite Football Coaching, welcome a range of young people of all abilities and disabilities every Friday evening. Participants are split into four age groups, with the age range of players from five to 25 years old.

A special thank you goes to Cheadle & Gatley JFC, who have raised funds for a training kit for each player. A trophy is also being awarded each week for the best player on the pitch.

Looking to the future, Seashell’s Sports team are hoping to enter a joint Seashell & Cheadle Gatley team into the Ability Counts League. Watch this space!

*Due to the UK national lockdown during the month of November, no sessions are currently being held on site. We are hopeful that CADS Football will return in early December 2020.
