A young man from Bramhall with complex autism is aiming to raise £10,000 for local charity Seashell Trust where he is a pupil of Royal School Manchester.

James Farley (18), who has been at the charitable special school in Cheadle Hulme since 2016 and a full-time resident since 2017, is running in this year’s Manchester 10k supported by friends and family.

“He is a very active young man with complex needs who loves to walk miles,” says father, Andrew.  “He has a cheeky captivating smile and loves to run rings around everyone. Thanks the suggestion of his key worker in residence at Seashell, we decided to enter James for the 2018 Manchester 10k.”

“Everyone at Seashell is rooting for James as his prepares for this major funding drive”, said Dominic Tinner, the charity’s Head of Fundraising.  “Running 10k is a major achievement for anyone, but for a boy who can at times find the world a very challenging place, this a particularly ambitious undertaking.”
