Challenge events
What’s your challenge?
Every day our children and young people face their own challenges but with the care and encouragement from the staff at Seashell Trust they are able to meet those challenges and overcome them.
Are you looking for a challenge in 2020?
We’d love you to undertake a challenge to raise money for the students at Seashell Trust – have a look at the list of suggested challenges below.
There are many more runs, cycles, swims and other challenge events taking place across the country for you to choose from. Perhaps you could tie a challenge into a weekend away, a visit to family and friends or explore a part of the country (or beyond) you have never been to before.
The choices really are endless for YOUR CHALLENGE 2020!

Rough Runner is a new breed of sports event. It merges distance running (anything from 5km up to 15km) and obstacles that you’ll have to take on along the way. The obstacles are inspired by all those game shows we love – Takeshi’s Castle, Wipeout, Gladiator, Ninja Warrior and more. So if you’ve ever thought that the Travelator looked like a challenge, a sweeper obstacle would be a great laugh, or you just fancy a go on the big balls, then Rough Runner is for you. Ride London - 16th August 2020
Seashell Trust has managed to secure 10 places in this fantastic cycling event.
Developed by the Mayor of London and his agencies in 2013, Prudential RideLondon is the world's greatest festival of cycling. The eighth edition will take place over the weekend of 15-16 August 2020.
There is no other closed-road event like it that combines the fun and accessible element of a free family ride in central London with the excitement of watching the world’s best professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic and Prudential RideLondon Classique.
Taking a cue from the London Marathon , amateur cyclists also participate in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 – a 100-mile challenge on the same closed roads as the professionals, with the added incentive of raising money for good causes. To capture it all, the best action is broadcast live on TV in the UK and internationally, to be seen by an audience of millions.
