Professionals

For children and young people who require residential care, we offer a highly personalised and integrated package of care in conjunction with our on-site school, college and specialist therapeutic services.  Integrating our education, care and therapeutic services ensures that we maximise the full potential of all children and young people placed with us, from both a social and educational perspective and ensures all professionals work together to meet the holistic needs of the child or young person placed with us. 

Residential care is provided on site in 17 state of the art purpose built houses.  All of the houses accommodate a maximum of 4 children or young people per house and have been thoughtfully designed to offer a highly personalised and specialist environment, fully adapted to meet the complex needs of the children and young people placed with us.  

All children and young people have their own bedroom, a personalised care plan and share their communal living with others of their own age and interests.  

We encourage all children and young people to be as independent as possible and are supported to develop independent or semi-independent living skills, wherever possible.  Children and young people are encouraged to exercise choice and control by, for example, choosing what they would like to eat for their evening meal or deciding which recreational activities they wish to take part in.

All children and young people placed with us have the opportunity to access a full range of recreational activities including arts and crafts, music, cooking, fabulous facilities for swimming, cycling, trampolining, outside gym and fully inclusive indoor fitness suite.  Our highly trained staff will be on-hand at all times and also accompany children and young people off site to visit local shops, the cinema, restaurants and other cultural and recreational venues.
